Standard Evolution crankcases weren’t designed for 4 inch bore cylinders or 5 inch stroker flywheels, and that’s exactly where this S&S special application case steps in. The cam chest is moved outward to accommodate large bore sizes, the oiling system is redesigned for sustained high-RPM use, and the case accepts a crank position sensor for EFI compatibility – all while maintaining the external dimensions that fit into 1984-1999 Harley-Davidson frames.
