Twisted Choppers Backdraft Slash Cut Exhaust Header For 2015-2024 Indian Scout

The Backdraft turns your Scout’s exhaust note from stock-quiet to unmistakably present โ€” a deep, aggressive tone that announces your arrival and transforms every ride into something riders around you actually notice. Built in the USA and engineered to clear factory pegs, it’s the kind of exhaust upgrade that changes how the bike feels as much as how it sounds.

Key Features
  • Major sound improvement for riders who prefer loud, aggressive exhaust character
  • Non-removable baffles tuned for exhaust scavenging with minimal sound reduction
  • Oxygen sensor bungs and adapters included โ€” no additional hardware required for O2 sensor retention
  • Clears factory passenger pegs in standard configuration
  • Eliminates excess weight over stock exhaust
  • Available in uncoated, black, and chrome finishes
  • Made in the USA
Technical Specifications
  • Style: Slash cut header
  • Baffles: Non-removable, scavenging-tuned
  • O2 Sensor Compatibility: Bungs and adapters included
  • Peg Clearance: Clears factory passenger pegs
  • Available Finishes: Uncoated / Black / Chrome
  • Manufactured: USA
Fitment Notes
  • Fits 2015โ€“2024 Indian Scout models only โ€” will not fit 2025 or newer models
  • Designed to the standard Scout geometry: 31ยฐ lean angle and 5.3″ ground clearance. Factory pegs contact the ground before the exhaust in stock configurations on these models
  • Scout Bobber, Scout Rogue, and Scout Sixty variants have a reduced lean angle (29ยฐ) and lower ground clearance (4.8″). On these models or any modified setups, exhaust contact is possible during aggressive cornering โ€” confirm fitment for your specific configuration before ordering
  • Black finish adds approximately 1 week to processing time
  • Chrome finish adds approximately 5 weeks to processing time
  • Review the Fitment tab for complete year and model breakdown
This exhaust header fits 2015โ€“2024 Indian Scout models listed below. Will not fit 2025 or newer models. Scout Bobber, Rogue, and Sixty variants have reduced lean angle and ground clearance โ€” confirm fitment for your configuration before ordering.

Sounds and looks incredible, very loud. Great build quality and the install wasn’t difficult at all.

I was not ready for the sound difference. I got these because I’ve always hated the wining noise I could hear with the stock exhaust that almost sounded like a Jetson car. But damn the look and the sound has me excited to ride all the time. The installation was easy and the parts are good quality.

great sounding exhaust, definitely not quiet if thatโ€™s what your looking for. You will be heard for sure. Install was easy once the stock exhaust is removed.

The mounting bracket could come with more directions. It comes with adapters for your sensors to be screwed into. The would have been easier to put in with the exhaust off the bike. Was also my first time changing an exhaust on a motorcycle.

Overall really happy with this purchase, thank you twisted! no stickers? : (

Q & A

Ask a question
The majority of the pictures yall have show the tip of the pipe for the rear-facing cylinder on the inside, but the customers who posted pictures in the reviews show it as being on the outside. Are they able to fit either way? Connor asked on October 27, 2024

It will be the same as the customer images. The product photos have not been updated yet.

I've fitted the Backdraft slash cut into my scout bobber. I have a DynoJet Power Vision CX, but it does not seem to read your map with a pvm extension. Do you have a map for this exhaust with an extension ".djt'? Andre Lisboa asked on September 19, 2024

The MAPs shown is everything we have available.

Do these pipes remove the catalytic converter? And do these pipes essentially straight pipe the bike? Trey Winner asked on September 4, 2024

These do remove the catalytic converter. They are not a straight pipe as they do have baffles inside.

Do these have some sort of internal muffler or are they straight pipes? I love the look but don't want to get a ticket for no muffler. I live in New Mexico and want to make sure these will be legal. Jason asked on September 2, 2024

These do have baffles but they are not a quiet baffle and may exceed your decibel laws.
