We will issue a new MSO (Manufacturer’s statement of origin) with your billing address and the serial number entered below.

Big Twin frames: The serial number can be found behind the transmission on the support bracket.

Sportster frames: The serial number can be found on the front motor mount.

The serial number is broken down using the example TC01102464001 and excludes the prefix “TC”.

• 1-2 |  01: The month the frame was built (January)
• 3-4 |  10: The last 2 digits of the year the frame was built (2010)
• 5 |  2: Up-stretch (2 inches up)
• 6 |  4: Out-stretch (4 inches out)
• 7 |  6: Frame type | 1/2/4/6 = Big Twin, 3/5 = Sportster, 7 = Rubber-mount Sportster, 8 = Twin Cam “B”, 9 = XB Buell (Big Twin frame)
• 8 |  4: Identifies the person that made the frame
• 9-11 |  001: Number built that month
